Exactly 1,444 years ago, Prophet Muhammad (SAW) sent a group of early Muslims on Hijrah (migration) from Mecca to Negash, in the Land of Habasha (Ethiopia), due to their being intensely persecuted in Mecca. They were sent to a just and righteous Christian King in whose Land no one was wronged. The migrant Muslims were well received by the Christian King who settled them in Negash Town, not far from his capital of Aksum.
This book gives a brief on Islam and its relationship with Christianity; and a brief on the Land of Habasha and its relationship with Arabia. The book also chronicles the migration to Habasha and the World’s first free Muslim Community the migrant Muslims founded, not in Arabia (the cradle of Islam) but in a Christian Kingdom in Africa. That pioneer “Interfaith Union”, personally sealed by the Highest Authority in Islam, Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and the most powerful Christian King in the World at that time, Negus Armah, clearly demonstrated Islam’s and Christianity’s deep rooted attributes of peace, harmony, love, benevolence, friendship, accommodation, understanding and respect for each other’s Faiths. The Negash formula should be applied today; for peace to reign in the World. This is the central message of this Book!
